Just wanted to follow-up on this post by saying that the Miracles “Star Ceremony” was held last Friday, March 20, 2008.  There is a short AP article and photo from the event here at the Fox News Web Site.

Congratulations Miracles. This was way, way, way overdue!

PS. Claudette Robinson is still absolutely stunning. Check the  photo! You go girl!

  1. They truly deserve it! I love these guys and Claudette lol

When u say founding members, that includes Bobby Rogers and Ronnie White right?

    • Yes indeedy Supa – The Miracles deserve this recognition. It is long, long overdue. Smokey gets plenty of kudos but the Original Miracles deserve their time in the sun as well — and yest that would (or at least it should) include Claudette, Bobby & Ronnie as well!

  2. k, I was jus making sure lol.

  3. What about MARV TARPLIN ? He was an original MIRACLES member too. In fact he’s on THIS ALBUM COVER !!

Why wasn’t Marv honored with the other MIRACLES ? They honored Billy Griffin… who wasn’t an original member… How could they leave Marv out,who IS an original ? (He even CO-WROTE many of the group’s greatest hits )!!!

P.S. : Also, nobody is mentioning PETE MOORE . He is ALSO AN ORIGINAL MIRACLE… and was honored as well.
    Hi Will,

Hope you don’t mind me combining your 3 posts (LOL) You get no argument out of me about the contributions of Marv Tarplin and his sweet sounding guitar! I haven’t seen details on the actual ceremony online — only some pics of Smokey hogging the spotlight that day.(SMILE) But I hope Mr. Tarplin was honored at the ceremony as the integral part of the group that he was. He is as much responsible for the success of “Tracks of My Tears” with his solo guitar contribution as are Smoke’s vocals.

If I find out anything more as to who was ACTUALLY at the ceremony I will post here.

    Musically Yours,
