Love Won’t Let Me Wait as performed by Major Harris (1975)

This wonderful, sexy, love ballad, written by Vinnie Barrett and Bobby Eli, was recorded in 1974 at Sigma Sound Studio. It entered the R&B chart March 15, 1975 for 20 weeks reaching #1. It then entered the Pop charts March 29, 1975 and lasted 18 weeks reaching #5. The stats and the song speak for themselves. All I can add is that the sexy backing vocals are supplied by session singer Barbara Ingram.

  1. I was the drummer with Herb Johnson & the Impacs. Bobby Eli was on guitar along with some other great musicians. I’m trying to reach Bobby and I heard he was in Cherry Hill N.J. If you know his email address of phone number. I would appreciate it if you could let me have it! I’ll be in Philly at the end of March
and i want to hallar at him. We use to practice every week at his place on Diamond St or in West Philly.

    Thanks
