You Talk Too Much By Joe Jones

This is another one of my favorite “humorous complaint songs”, like “If You Wanna Be Happy”, that makes me grin from ear to ear while singing it around the house. I always chuckle out loud when I think of my paternal grandmother sitting at the table playing pinochle with her best friend and my aunt and uncle: all the while she was yapping away and my Dad and I were in the next room with him softly singing this song to me out of Nanny’s earshot. I would almost bust a gut trying to keep a big guffaw inside so Nanny wouldn’t hear me.

All of the above parties have gone now(RIP), but this song continues on and brings me great joy and memories whenever I hear it.

I have no idea what this video means, but it is the only one of the song that I could find to post … and I wanted to give you readers something to look at on some of your visits. So here it is – an anime video to go along with the audio of the song:

The sound quality is not the best on this visual so I have also uploaded the tune for you to listen to static free. Enjoy.

You Talk Too Much
Words & Music by Joe Jones and Reginald Hall

You talk too much
You worry me to death
You talk too much
You even worry my pet

You just talk
Talk too much

You talk about people
That you don’t know
You talk about people
Wherever you go

You just talk
Talk too much

You talk about people
That you’ve never seen
You talk about people
You can make me scream

You just talk
you talk too much
